The Portugal Golden Residence Permit Program is a five-year residence-by-investment program for non-EU nationals, only requires an average of seven days per year stay in Portugal that can also count towards citizenship eligibility after five years.
Requirements
Property Acquisition Program
1. A real estate purchase with a minimum value of EUR 500,000*
2. A real estate purchase with a minimum value of EUR 350,000 for the refurbishment of properties older than 30 years or in an area of urban regeneration designated for renovation,
*The minimum required investment is reduced by a 20% reduction, if the investor purchases a property in a low population density area, less than 100 inhabitants per km² or with a GDP per capita below 75% of the national average, (Euro 280,000 or Euro 400,000).
Capital Transfer Program
1. A minimum of EUR 1 million capital transfer into a Portuguese bank account or approved investment options.
2. EUR 350,000 investment in research activities that are a part of the national scientific and technological system.
3. EUR 250,000 investment in the recovery or maintenance of national cultural and heritage sites or in support of artistic production.
4. EUR 500,000 in the investment funds, venture capital funds, or in the commercial business with maintenance or creation of 5 jobs.
Business Program
1. Creation of a minimum of 10 new jobs
